Practical information

How many people can join?

Book for 1–8 people. You have your own guide, whether you book alone or for a group. For larger groups, contact the Gausta Experience team.

Is the trip private?

Yes. Your guide is dedicated to you and the people you book with. The level, route and pace are adapted to your experience and the conditions.

Is the trip suitable for beginners?

Yes. Choose an easier outing around Gausta if you are new to snowshoeing. Trips towards Gaustatoppen are more demanding and suit experienced hikers. We adapt the route and pace to your group and the conditions.

Where do we meet?

The meeting point and time are agreed before the trip, based on your route and local conditions. Trips take place around Gausta or towards Gaustatoppen.

What should we wear?

Snowshoes and poles are included. Bring warm layers, windproof outerwear, gloves, a hat and winter footwear. We confirm clothing and any personal equipment needs for your chosen trip before you arrive.

Can we combine the trip with Wilderness Camp?

An easier snowshoe outing can be combined with Wilderness Camp for a smaller group. Send an enquiry so we can agree the route, camp, food and activities.

What if the weather changes?

The route and programme depend on local snow and weather conditions. We agree changes or alternatives with you if conditions affect the trip.
